Most first-time callers land on the same handful of questions: are we genuinely registered and insured, why does a written number beat a phone guess, how much a hillside driveway or a high-rise booking actually changes the plan, what happens with a ranch home whose garage is already packed solid, and where your belongings go if a closing date slips.
Don’t see your situation covered below? Call before you book, it beats discovering a wrinkle with 405 traffic on the actual moving day.
Does part of my job ever end up with a different crew?
+
No. Every truck on the job is Aragon Moving Systems's, and everyone riding along draws a paycheck from us, not someone else's, so nothing gets handed off once the day starts. One signature covers both the number you're quoted and the number you're billed, so there's no separate load board pulling in outside labor and no substitute mover showing up partway through. The same person who priced your job is on-site when the truck actually arrives.
Are you actually licensed and insured, or just claiming it?
+
Documentation is never a problem here. Aragon Moving Systems carries active California registration as a household-goods carrier, plus cargo coverage on every load we run. Downtown property managers ask for a certificate of insurance often enough that ours stays ready without advance notice, and the coverage doesn't scale down for a smaller job — a one-bedroom apartment and a full haul out to Las Vegas are protected the same way.
Do you charge by the hour, or quote a flat number?
+
Both, in a sense. We start from an hourly rate, then lock that math into one total for the whole truck and crew before a single box gets carried out, so the clock doesn't keep running against you once the job is underway. A lot of competitors' phone estimates balloon once 405 traffic gets involved; we build that in ahead of time instead. If a job runs past what we estimated, the overage is ours to absorb, not yours to pay.
How often do you handle Downtown LA high-rises?
+
Often, it's a steady share of what we book every month, not an occasional job. Eddie reserves the freight-elevator window during that very first call and lines up whatever paperwork the building's management wants to see. None of that gets chased down last-minute, it's settled well before move day arrives.
My closing date got pushed back, can you hold my belongings until it's sorted?
+
Regularly, production delays and slipped closings send this exact question our way often. Selena arranges a storage unit sized to what you actually own, billed month to month, usually around half off for the first one. And when your new place is finally ready, it's the same crew that packed you who comes back to deliver everything.
What exactly does valuation coverage protect?
+
There are two tiers to pick from. Released value comes standard at no added cost and pays sixty cents per pound per item, workable for heavier furniture but thin protection for anything valuable. The upgrade, full-value protection, runs one to three percent of your shipment's declared worth and includes up to $1 million in cargo coverage. Tell us roughly what your load includes and we'll point you toward whichever tier actually fits.
Silver Lake and Los Feliz have some steep driveways, do you know how to handle those?
+
We do, Jamal's crew ends up on most of those calls. A narrow, steep driveway on an older hillside home is something we plan around ahead of time rather than figure out with a truck already stuck halfway up. That access gets checked and mapped long before moving day, so it never turns into a last-minute add-on charge.
When do I actually pay you?
+
Not until the very last item is off the truck and set in place, nothing changes hands before that. We take cash, check, or card, whatever's easiest for you. Because Priya already locked your number in before the truck left the yard, there's no recalculating at the finish line, you pay the figure you signed off on.
Need to push back my move date or cancel, what happens?
+
Reach out by phone or text the moment you know something's shifting. Dates move around constantly on our calendar thanks to closing delays and production reshuffles, so we built that flexibility in from the start. Give us reasonable notice and there's no fee to reschedule, it just frees that slot for another family waiting on it.
Is the crew on move day really your employees, or contracted out?
+
All ours, every time. Every truck carries Aragon Moving Systems's name, and every mover on it is someone we hired and trained ourselves, nobody pulled in as last-minute day labor. Nobody hands your job to another outfit, and the same person who quoted you is likely one of the faces at your door that morning.
